10 years on what's Cas and Jonesy doing

It's just on 10 years since Justin Jones and James Castrission became the first to kayak across the Tasman Sea from Australia to New Zealand in their Crossing the Ditch challenge.

They undertook the unsupported paddle from Forster, on the New South Wales north coast, to New Plymouth, New Zealand. For 62 days they lived in their double kayak, battered by 10-metre waves and 50-knot winds as they completed the 3318-kilometre trip.

Here's a round up from Cas and Jonesy

Over the past decade, adventure (and life) has taken us on an incredible journey! When we arrived on the shores of New Zealand, we would never have believed that over the next 10 years we’d be lucky enough to pursue a life (and career) of adventure full time. Its been a blast! We’ve spoken at conferences all over the world, explored the remotest corners of the globe, written books, produced doco's... it's been the most incredible period of our lives. It all started with a decision to follow our passion and love for adventure.

These days we’re both happily married with kids and finding ourselves working on different projects:
Jonesy is about to embark on a 1800km, 3month expedition with his wife, Lauren and 15mth old daughter Morgan next month. Join the expedition here: www.thejonesys.com

Cas now runs a business delivering adventure based corporate development programs around Australia. More info available here: www.myadventuregroup.com.au
