New A1 Adventure Website

The A1 New Zealand Adventure Racing series has launched a brand new website today ushering in a new era for the sport.

The series is a partner with A1 Australia and shares a mandate to grow adventure racing from the grassroots up.

A1 NZ Series CEO Warren Bates says the new digital platform is an essential tool in connecting the sport from top to bottom.

“ Our inaugural New Zealand series has just got underway for summer 18 with last months Marokopa Munter the first race in the series. The teams were ‘live tracked’ which was a great success for followers of the sport.”

“This weekend the second race is the Bivouac Outdoor Adventure Race in Whangamata, and all the details can be found online at http://adventure1.co.nz

A1 NZ subscribes to team rankings as an official means of recognizing performance in the sport of adventure racing. Each competitors rankings and results are posted online as part of the A1 Club Points system.

“The fact is that most adventure racers compete locally or within their country, breaking the perception that you have to travel overseas to be an adventure racer. With the new A1 NZ series we want to inspire the current and next generation of racers to get involved and be rewarded," says Bates.
