It’s been 5-days since I crossed the finish line of GODZone 2021 and I haven’t really stopped moving since. I had to get back to Nelson as soon as I could to deliver the Summer Challenge women’s adventure race
The first Summer Challenge event took place in Nelson over the weekend under glorious sunshine the region is famous for. The women’s adventure race saw 240-teams lining up for the challenge in either the 3, 6 or 9-hour events.
After three days, 4500m of elevation and 140km of tough technical rocky trails in the Alexandra hills, the NZ Cycling Project – MitoQ team of Ben Oliver (Christchurch) and Josh Burnett (Invercargill) took the overall win in the first ever Prospector
Finn Fisher-Black has managed to win the Istrian Spring Trophy. The New Zealander of the Jumbo-Visma Development Team managed to turn around the gap in the general classification in the last stage and thus clinched his second victory of the season.
