Stars in Action on Night One

Night one of finals at the 2019 Hancock Prospecting Australian Swimming Championships will see the women’s 4x100m world-record holding freestyle relay team go head-to-head as Cate and Bronte Campbell (Knox/Pymble), Emma McKeon (Griffith University) and Shayna Jack (St Peters Western) take to the water to vie for the Women’s 100m Freestyle title.

Australian Dolphins Monique Murphy (Lawnton), Lakeisha Patterson (Lawnton) and Ellie Cole (Knox/Pymble) will be in action as they compete to take the spoils in the Women’s 400m Freestyle Multi-Class.

Mitch Larkin (St Peters Western) will battle it out with Ginninderra’s Cameron Tysoe and Southport Olympic’s Tristan Hollard for the Men’s 100m Backstroke gold.

Jake Michel (Carina Leagues CJ) and Dolphins Ahmed Kelly (Melbourne Vicentre) and Blake Cochrane (USC Spartans) are all in the running to claim the Men’s 50m Breaststroke Multi-Class event.

Hometown favourite Kyle Chalmers will be looking to nab the Men’s 100m Butterfly title to go with his freestyle national titles but will have Nunawading’s Matthew Temple and Bowen Gough hot on his tail.

In other finals action – young gun Elijah Winnington (Bond University) qualified fastest for the Men’s 400m Freestyle along with Clyde Lewis (St Peters Western) and Jack McLoughlin (Chandler).

Head down to the SA Aquatic & Leisure Centre to catch all the action, with Age finals beginning at 5:30pm or else tune in on 7TWO from 8:00pm (SA time).
