Trail Running Series Race 3 hits hills of Silvan!

Two low fronts, damaging winds, and a sub-10 degree weather outlook couldn’t keep over 1000 trail runners away from Silvan for the third installment of The Trail Running Series presented by The North Face today. In fact it was hard to find a face in the crowd who wasn’t smiling!

As they say – trail runners are a hardy bunch.

Silvan dished up plenty of hills, mud and single track to keep everyone on their toes, including the virtually unrunnable HIIT Factory Hill Climb (aka ‘Hill from hell) that saw runners ascend 120m in just 500m. And the super fun 2km Kids Run!

If it was your first trail run, well done on tackling the toughest race of the season, and great work to the dedicated Series runners and familiar faces who returned to conquer Silvan once more.

We hope you kicked goals and feel great for braving the weather for the last race for Winter – next month we’re heading to the coast for Race 4 at Anglesea for more epic trail running on Sunday 10th September featuring 8km / 15km / 23km races and the 1.9 Kids Run. We hope you can make it!
