Don't read the research paper in the above link if you think long kayaks go faster than slightly shorter ones because it might then play with your head depending on you weight and length of kayak you paddle.

As well as colour they forgot price paid as more expensive is always faster 
Roadies absolutely know $$ paid = real speed. Otherwise why would they waste thousands of extra $$$ on a Pinarello over a Giant

after reading that report I am thinking about applying for a grant to study the effect on increased volumes of fluid over a set time and its relation to how high up the wall I can piss
